Synopsis
A bad boy fixer and a bombshell detective can work together on opposite sides of the law… or so I hear.
I’m an overworked fixer who needs a break. When I’m asked to cat-sit in Coal Springs, I’m all for a few boring days.
Except there is no break, and there’s no chance to be bored. Not when I walk into a convenience store and meet a kick-ass woman with an obsession for coffee who takes down an armed robber single-handedly.
I now have my own obsession. Her. When I discover she’s an FBI agent, I can only laugh.
Because I break the law. She enforces it.
For all I know, she might be here to investigate me or my hitman friend. I should steer clear, but I can’t. She’s ballsy and brash and drives me crazy. She’s stirring up trouble all over town and risking her safety… and my sanity.
I thought I knew my biggest threat. It’s not a town full of feral women who love that I’m temporarily running a romance bookstore or some dangerous pickle store owners. No, it’s Fiona.
And I’m not sure if either of us will make it out of Coal Springs alive.
Can the bad guy fall for the good girl… and survive?
