Synopsis
I went to Vegas to celebrate my divorce, and the pro football star was there celebrating his new contract. I heard someone call his name, and I wasn’t about to miss my chance to get with the man my ex had idolized. I didn’t find out until long after a sizzling night filled with fingertips dragging along skin and breathless whispered pleas that it was a case of mistaken identity.
I never thought I’d see him again, but then he walks into my office. I’m working hard to rebuild myself as a financially independent single mother when my eyes lift to the VIP client my boss warned me about.
Anger courses through my veins, yet I can’t seem to tear my gaze from those smoky blue eyes.
But the sly look in his eyes from that night is replaced by brokenness after an injury that just took him out for the season, and now it’s my job to help rehabilitate him and get him ready for next season.
Quitting the quarterback seems nearly impossible, but if I don’t do it, I might just lose everything I’ve worked for.
